It may be administered by intravenous injection (injection into a vein) or by intravenous infusion (given by a drip into a vein).
The most common side effects of this medicine include hiccup, nausea, vomiting, cough, sedation, headache, drowsiness, and injection site reactions (pain, swelling, and redness).
